Art Movements

Let your creativity take form in the style of impressionism, fauvism, pop art, surrealism and more! In this program, students will have better knowledge and appreciation of our great and humble artists through their interesting stories and discovery of art techniques, movements, and media. Who knows, your vocabulary of art terminologies might come in handy on your next museum or art gallery visit.

Lifting from the vast array of art movements and artists, the topic highlighted in this course encompasses a significant swathe of art history, theory, and technique that are helpful in your discovery of self-expression and personal style.

This theme-based and structured art course is divided into 10 modules. One module has 10 sessions and runs for 1 hour and 10 minutes each time. We have classes for 8 years old and up! Kids age 7 with good observational skills and a mature approach to learning may be allowed to join this program.

Module 3: Cubism and Op Art (Optical Art)

Reduce your artwork to geometric shapes, cubes, broken forms, and pulsing patterns! In order to explore Cubism, divide items and figures into distinct regions and provide a new perspective. In OP Art, generate impressions of movement and optical illusion to enjoy a perceptual experience. Learn how to manipulate forms, patterns, and colors in a systematic and precise manner with these two abstract-inspired movements!
