Alongside digital drawing techniques, recognize the different comic strip formats, layout requirements and panel arrangements. Through prompts, students are challenged to plan their own narration using essential story elements such as central narrative, character development, text and dialogue, cover page, and thematic messaging.
This theme-based, structured art course is divided into 3 modules. One module has 10 sessions and runs for 1 hour and 20 minutes each time. Activities are ideal for teens and kids not younger than 10 years old and with basic skills in drawing people.

Module 1: 4-Koma and 6-Panel Comic Strip Using Clip Studio Paint (Digital Art)
Through four-koma and six-panel comics, learn the fundamentals of comic-building and story-making! Using prompts and digital art tools in Clip Studio Paint, create a variety of scenarios for your characters to play in.
Module 2: Introduction to Visual Storytelling
Make a graphic story that spans multiple pages and has a meaningful sequence. While honing your digital drawing skills, learn strategies to unfold a story using specific points such as setting, subplots, character design, thematic messaging, genre, and style choices. Yield a world beyond just a page and display panels with epic chronological progression!

Must Know
+ Small-group art classes conducted over Zoom
+ Live, interactive, with strong teacher-student engagement
+ A maximum of 2 free makeup classes are allowed per module, running for 30-40 minutes/makeup class. Starting with the 3rd makeup class, an additional fee of P850.00/student is charged. Each makeup class must be taken at least 2 days BEFORE the day of the next class lesson. In case student foregoes attending the makeup class, a simplified recording will be created and sent in place of a live makeup class. Student is expected to learn this on his own time before the next class starts in order to keep pace. Younger kids may need the parent's help. A maximum of 2 recordings shall be given.
