Pre-Architecture Exercises
Draw, measure and put your brain to work! Every building project starts with a simple exercise and expedition into art. Our approach to architectural drawing begins through the language of art such as point, line, shape, form, proportion, perspective, space, light and color. Each art element will then be explored to train the eye to analyze the dimensional relationships between geometric solids and provide a basic introduction to construction and composition. Architecture obtains its myriad of possibilities through combinations, from dots to lines, lines to shapes, shapes to two dimensional form, 2 dimensional surfaces into the third dimension. This course is geared towards implementing this order and relationships allowing students to delve in practical exercises and create consistent whole and meaningful compositions.
In the earlier modules, students will render familiar spaces and objects while learning theories of architectural drawing, tools, drafting techniques, and key terminologies including isometric view, blueprint, and one point perspective. New ideas, such as constructional principles and cutting-edge methods, are gradually woven into the program as it develops. Learn the course's progression by reading the module descriptions.
This curriculum-based, structured art course aims to create 10 modules. Each module has 10 sessions running 1 hour and 20 minutes each time. Activities are ideal for 12 years old to adults. Kids ages 10-11 with good observational skills and a mature approach to learning may be allowed to join.

Module 1: Introduction to Isometric and One Point Perspective
Front, back, top, bottom, left, right, converging lines, vanishing point! Your first steps to learning art, geometry and science! Project an isometric view and understand the importance of axes and degrees in drawing common spaces around the house. Learn techniques on how a flat piece of paper shows things to appear three-dimensional as you create the linear illusion of depth.
Module 2: Application of Isometric and One Point Perspective
Engage in drafting blueprints. Plan and sketch how you like a single object to appear in several representations. To create a successful viewpoint, understand the three main components of a one point perspective drawing - the horizon line, vanishing point, and frontal plane.

Must Know
+ Small-group art classes conducted over Zoom
+ Live, interactive, with strong teacher-student engagement
+ A maximum of 2 free makeup classes are allowed per module, running for 30-40 minutes/makeup class. Starting with the 3rd makeup class, an additional fee of P850.00/student is charged. Each makeup class must be taken at least 2 days BEFORE the day of the next class lesson. In case student foregoes attending the makeup class, a simplified recording will be created and sent in place of a live makeup class. Student is expected to learn this on his own time before the next class starts in order to keep pace. Younger kids may need the parent's help. A maximum of 2 recordings shall be given.
